Birth date rather dubious. She is dau. of Agnes Douglas and John Renton
(dec.) workman (from 1st marriage OPR record) or alternatively William
Renton forrester (from her death record). But getting parents' first names
wrong on death record is not uncommon. Age at death given as 52 but
think this must be wrong - more likely to be 57.
It may be that the first Catharine died and this is a somewhat younger
sibling; or that she took a few years off her age, possibly relating to her
second marriage.
Her age in 1851 census is given as 35. She would from this be born in
1815. It's very possible that the earlier Catharine died and this Catharine
was born in 1815.
